Staffordshire County Council - Community Development Team Watchdog Scheme
The principal role of the Community Development Team is to manage and run the Community Watchdog Scheme. This is a team of over 800 Staffordshire residents acting as the eyes and ears of their local community. The Watchdog Scheme was set up in 2001 to help empower local residents to protect their communities from rogue trading practices, scams and bogus callers. It is also gives local residents access to up to date consumer advice and encourages everyone to know their consumer rights. They regularly issue alerts on scams and other consumer trading issues, for more for information visit: http://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/community/consumeradviceandprotection/communitydevelopment/home.aspx
